Adwety

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

Adwety is a medicine reminder app for you and your family. This policy explains what data we collect, why, who processes it for us, how long we keep it, and how you delete it.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: your email address and name, your password (stored only as a hash we cannot read) or your Google or Apple sign-in identity (id, email and name), your language and time zone.
  • Health profiles: for each person whose medicines you manage: name, date of birth, gender, blood type, and whether they are a child.
  • Medicines and reminders: the medicine's name, dosage, form, your notes and the count left, and the reminder times.
  • Dose history: what was taken, skipped or missed, and when, and the missed-dose alerts.
  • Family and sharing: your family members in the app, who has access to which profile, and invites.
  • Location (optional): your precise position stays on your phone. A pharmacy search sends only an approximate area of about 1 km, which is not linked to your account.
  • Device data: the notification token, a device id and the platform (Android or iOS), to send notifications to your phones.
  • Sign-in sessions: device, IP address and times.
  • Support messages you send us, your subscription status, and your notification settings (such as hiding medicine names, or turning off alerts about one person).
  • Technical records: counts of pharmacy searches (no location), notices that a family member changed your reminders, and server logs (IP address and time).

We do not collect your phone number, your contacts, an advertising ID or payment card details. The app contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting tools. This website uses no cookies and no tracking.

2. How we use it

To run reminders and alarms, keep the dose history, alert family members when a dose is missed, remind you to refill, show nearby pharmacies, sign you in, answer your messages, and protect the service from abuse. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers.

Health information is entered by you, by choice, and we process it with the consent you give when you create your account. You can withdraw that consent at any time by deleting the data or the account.

3. Who processes data for us

These service providers help us run the app. Each receives only what its job needs:

  • Supabase (database, sign-in, file storage, server functions and account emails): holds all the data listed above, on servers in Ireland (EU).
  • Google Places (pharmacy search): receives from our server only an approximate area of about 1 km, not your identity or your IP address.
  • Google Maps (the map on Android): receives what the map sends Google when it is shown, including the map area and, with "my location" on, the device's location.
  • Apple Maps (the map on iPhone): the map area and the device's location, handled by iOS.
  • Google sign-in and Sign in with Apple: if you choose one, the sign-in request goes to them, and they return your email and name to us.
  • Expo push service: receives the notification token and the notification's text. For family alerts the text includes the person's name, and the medicine's name unless you turn on "hide medicine names".
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) and Apple Push Notification service (iPhone): receive the same notification content to deliver it to the phone.
  • Cloudflare: hosts this website (adwety.com) and processes its visitors' IP addresses.

Some of these providers process data outside your country, including in the European Union and the United States. We also share data with the family members and caregivers you choose to share profiles with, and with authorities when the law requires it.

4. Storage and security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. The database enforces row-level access rules, so each account reaches only its own data and the profiles their owners shared with it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

5. How long we keep it

  • Account data, profiles, medicines, reminders, dose history and support messages: until you delete them or your account.
  • Notification token: until you sign out on that phone or delete the account.
  • Family invites: expire after 48 hours.
  • Pharmacy search areas (not linked to you): 30 days.
  • Pharmacy search counts: 90 days.
  • Notices of reminder changes between family members: 30 days.
  • A record that an account was deleted (no health data): 30 days.
  • Server logs and backups: kept by our hosting provider for a limited time; deleted accounts disappear from them when that time ends.
  • Notification and map providers keep what they receive under their own policies.

6. Deleting your account, and your rights

You can view, correct and delete your data in the app at any time. To delete the account and everything in it: open the Profile tab, then Delete account; the deletion happens immediately. Or ask by email, without the app: the steps, and what is deleted, are on the Delete account page. For a copy of your data, or any other privacy request, write to the address below.

7. Children

Adwety is not directed at children, and the account holder must be an adult. Parents and guardians may add profiles for their children and manage their medicines. We do not knowingly create accounts for children; if you learn that a child has created one, write to us and we will delete it.

8. Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email.
